You pick two: Nordstrom Made favorites for fall

Remember five years ago, back in March, when the pandemic and quarantine were just starting and the most common thing people were buzzing about wasTiger King? Well now things are starting to open up a bit, and tiger print is king.

It is so so nice to be able to leave the house now sometimes and have things worth getting dressed up for. I know that I was getting a little burnt out rotating between my daytime pajamas and my nighttime pajamas!

Nordstrom has a TON of really good things to choose from right now. Like so good that I'm sharing TWO different looks because I could not pick just one. BONUS all my picks are nursing friendly since I'm still breastfeeding baby Harry.

The more you know

Did you know that in addition to all the great brands and designers that Nordstrom carries, they also have twelve of their own private label brands? These Nordstrom Made exclusives include brands like: Zella, Halogen, 1901, Leith, Treasure & Bond, and Chelsea 28.

Chelsea 28 and Leith are two of my go-to Nordstrom Made favorites when I am shopping for date night, girls night out or church outfits.

Tiger Queen

In California you are now allowed to go to church at 25% capacity, which means our congregation was split up into thirds. After seven months, it's finally our family's turn to attend in person and I'm suddenly VERY aware of what is or is not breastfeeding friendly in my closet!

And while I LOVE a good fall sweater dress, they're pretty impossible to breastfeed in – USUALLY. But when the forces of this tiger print top and midi skirt combine, they look like the most chic sweater dress.

THE set

The top is a mock neck crop with the very cutest ruched statement sleeves, and right now you can get it for only $27 (reg $39)! Detailed statement sleeves are very ‘in' right now and I am totally obsessed with these. I have long time claim that leopard print is my favorite neutral, but this tiger print is undeniably fierce.

The midi skirt is also just $27 (reg $39) and the high-rise waist pairs perfectly with the cropped length of the top. It feels very soft and cozy; like wearing pajamas but way cuter and fun for fall.

I love that these versatile Nordstrom Made pieces were absolutely designed to be worn together or mixed and matched. The mock neck top would look super cute with my favorite high-waisted black jeans. And I can't wait to pair the skirt with a band tee and some sneakers.

The shoes

This highly rated pump also happens to be the most comfortable pump I own. The brand specifically designed this pump with special comfort technology and added a built-in padded sock. Translation: it looks like a gorgeous classic pump but it wears like your favorite Nike.

The Nordstrom Made favorite brand, Halogen typically makes a heel that I absolutely love, but I couldn't find them this year. I'll keep my eyes peeled and keep you posted if I find them because they're amazing.

The bag

My bag is an older Kate Spade that I don't believe is available right now, but there is a Nordstrom Made option that is super similar and less expensive than my designer bag! The black would pair so cute with this outfit.

Wine not?

Typically the color burgundy doesn't even make its way into my closet because it's just not a fave of mine. However I had immediate heart eyes for this wine-colored wrap dress. It is really really pretty on and has the most perfect waterfall ruffle cascading down the front. You'll feel like the real live, but luxe version of the salsa girl emoji! If you're a fellow breastfeeding mama, you can also appreciate how breastfeeding friendly a wrap dress is.

The fit is true to size and there is a button closure in front to help the wrap part actually keep your girls under wraps. I ended up pinning it a little bit higher for more modesty because #nursingboobs but then remembered an awesome Nordstrom tip that I MUST share…

Tailoring and alterations

Nordstrom has in-house tailors that can fit a piece to you, add pockets to your favorite dress or skirt (seriously), hem jeans or tailor any item in your wardrobe to fit you perfectly. Yes, any item-whether it came from Nordstrom or your own closet. This means I can permanently add an extra little button to this wrap dress and lose the safety pin forever!

Basic alterations are free to all Nordstrom cardholders. Best. News. Ever.

The shoes

If you're looking for an excuse (and the motivation) to finally slip on your fave pair of fancy shoes, this dress is the ticket! I dusted off these Louboutins because they're some of my favorite high-end heels and literally the MOST flattering shoes in the world. But really, you could pair this dress with any pair of pumps or dress shoes for that matter.

The leopard clutch

I love a pop of animal print to add interest to an outfit. This wine-colored dress was the perfect backdrop for my tried and true leopard print clutch! For me, this clutch is absolutely a closet staple that has gotten a ton of cost per wear over the YEARS I've had it. However, there's a Nordstrom Made option that is currently 30% off and definitely way more affordable.
