go-to minimalist picks for your summer wardrobe

do you ever have those days where nothing in your closet looks good together? the classic “i don't have anything to wear.” it's like when you're hungry but nothing sounds good. lately that's been happening to me. A LOT. so i'm thinking the fix is this: minimalist. i went on a hunt for some good minimalist staple pieces at nordstrom and found quite a few – some of them are even marked down for their half yearly sale! (see my picks here and here from the sale).

picking out minimalist staples was kind of like trying a new favorite restaurant – once i got going i was on a roll. and i found myself craving whites! not that you can't get a good minimalist look out of blacks or grays or navy, but white is begging to be worn this time of year. anyway, not that this is rocket science or anything but here are some fun finds that are most likely going to be appearing in my closet very soon. sorry UPS man, no rest for the weary.

  1. I love that kate spade tote! I can’t decide between that one and the tory burch buckle tote. Which one do you use more and think is better for a busy mom of a 6 month old and 3 yr old?!

    1. hey cyndi! i really, really love my kate spade tote and i probably use it a little more than my tory burch tote – but that’s maybe because it’s black?! i honestly love them equally, sorry i know that’s probably no help! but they’ve both held up amazingly well, even after my 2YO took a blue pen to my tory tote, it came right out! 🙂

      1. Thank you for replying! I am leaning towards the Tory burch in black unless the kate spade goes on sale before my birthday! Hehe
