This is a little post from me (hi! Corrine, founder of Mint Arrow). My team does an AMAZING job helping me compile and get content out to you as quickly as possible during these sales, but I wanted to write this post specifically from me to you. It’s my 13 personal faves from the Anniversary Sale this year. Most of these are hidden gems I found while I spent HOURS pouring over the six thousand items inside the sale.
Unlike almost every other major sale out there from department stores, these are BRAND NEW items for this fall. Not markdowns after things don’t sell as well, or leftover colors or patterns after a season is over. That’s the magic of the Anniversary Sale. That’s why my mom took me as a little girl, and I’ve been shopping it with excitement and anticipation my entire life, and why millions of other very fashion-savvy people also wait ALL YEAR for this sale. It’s an opportunity to get the most on-trend, brand new things for that year, before the new school year and fall/winter even starts.
So with that, here are my top 13 favorite things from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on my 13th year covering the sale as a fashion/deal blogger.

Top 13 favorite things
- Double breasted trench coat: This beautiful classic coat has amazing reviews from being a classic Nordstrom staple, and is something you can immediately enjoy this summer when you go out at night!
- Kitchen apron: This apron is universally known as THE nicest apron by many celebrity chefs. SUPER durable, pockets galore, and the waxed canvas version is especially perfect if you do a lot of outdoor grilling or smoking!
- YSL lip set: My signature lip color in a set that saves you a good chunk of change! I get asked constantly what lippy I’m wearing when I have this on, both in person and from people online. It’s better than regular lipstick because it’s ultra hydrating – your lips never dry out wearing this stuff!
- Bootie: This bootie is so beautiful and yes it’s a splurge, but also the kind of bootie you’ll be able to get an insane amount of wear out of with everything from jeans to skirts to dresses, all fall and winter long. If you want your shoes to be the frosting of your outfit, these will come in clutch over and over again.
- Natori bra: I’ve tried on all the Natori bras and although I love them all, this one takes the cake for the MOST comfortable. I’ll be getting this in multiple colors!
- Kate spade belt: It’s probably been a minute since you replaced your belt – this one is multi-functional with TWO sides to mix and match with your wardrobe!
- New Balance sneaker: The sneaker that I think will go the VERY fastest this year.
- Sunglasses: These are a CLASSIC and I’ve had mine for years, and they make everything look better, from a swimsuit to a fancy dress. The fit is perfect and they won’t give you a headache, even with hours of wear. Worth every penny even full price, but esp on sale!
- Polo sweater dress: If you’re looking for more East Coast timeless vibes for your closet, this is the dress you need!
- Pajamas: I love that they’ve started making my favorite pajamas in a short sleeve version so we can start wearing them right away once the sale starts!! That heather gray color is definitely the most “it” color this year and with pink piping?! That’ll be gone in seconds!
- Mini leather tote: This up-and-coming designer (who BTW is beating out Louis Vuitton & Hermes currently!!) made this perfect little bag that’s real leather and the perfect little size for phone, keys, wallet, sunnies, a snack and a hand sani!
- Ultracozy hoodie: SO thrilled to see this hoodie in the sale because it’s made with this MAGIC material that keeps that “new sweatshirt feel” literally wash after wash after wash. If you buy ONE hoodie this year, let this be it.
- Our place cookware: I already own SO many pieces of Our Place cookware that literally get used EVERY day in our home, but if I didn’t already, I’d buy this beautiful vanilla bean set in a heartbeat. It’s super pretty and Our Place has been our go-to for cookware that’s pretty enough to serve right out of and put right on the dinner table, and functional enough to never have an egg stick! (Just make sure you follow their instructions to hand-wash and never turn the heat above medium-high).
