Okay, this has never happened before. I was online checking into the Anniversary Sale tonight and was SHOCKED to see that Nordstrom just DROPPED roughly 14,000 brand new items into the sale overnight. The sale went from about 9,000 items to over 23,000. It more than doubled, mid-sale, right as public access opens. I have covered this sale for about a decade and a half, and I have never seen them do anything like this.
Even Nordstrom's own banner is calling it out: new fall fashion, sale prices, before prices go up August 10. Right now their homepage has a 25% off banner pointing straight at the just-added brands, and that page alone shows over 14,000 items in the women’s sale. Translation: a second wave of the Anniversary Sale just started, and almost nobody knows yet.
I spent tonight digging through the new drop so you don't have to. The short version: it's LOADED with trend-forward pieces at prices that don't look like Nordstrom prices. Almost everything I pulled is under $100, and most of it is under $60. Here are my picks, with the matching sets first because they're the sleeper hit of this drop.
