Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Mint Arrow respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use mintarrow.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It is part of our Terms of Use.

1. WHO WE ARE AND HOW TO REACH US

This Site is owned and operated by Stokoe Technologies, LLC, d/b/a Mint Arrow, a California limited liability company. Our principal place of business is in San Juan Capistrano, California.

You can reach us about privacy in either of these two ways:

  • Email: neil@mintarrow.com
  • Mail: Stokoe Technologies, LLC, Attn: Privacy, 27131 Calle Arroyo, Suite 1722, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675

2. NOTICE AT COLLECTION

At or before the point we collect your information, you are entitled to know what we collect and why. In short:

  • We collect your email address and name when you subscribe, comment, or enter a giveaway.
  • We collect technical and usage data automatically, such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you.
  • We collect preference data if you take a quiz or tell us what you like.
  • We use this to send you the emails you asked for, to run and improve the Site, to measure which content and links perform, and to market our content, including through advertising on other platforms.
  • We retain each category only as long as described in Section 8.
  • We do not sell your information for money. Our advertising and analytics tools may still count as “selling” or “sharing” under California law. Section 10 explains how to opt out.
  • We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require us to offer a right to limit it.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us directly

  • Name and email address, when you subscribe to our newsletter, leave a comment, contact us, or enter a giveaway or contest.
  • Preferences you volunteer, for example your answers to a style or color quiz.
  • The content of messages you send us, including emails and blog comments.
  • Your mobile phone number, if you give it to us when you join our list. We use it to send you marketing text messages about deals and new posts.

Information we collect automatically

  • IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen size, referring and exit pages, pages and posts viewed, links clicked, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Information stored in cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 5.

Information from other platforms

  • If you interact with us on social media, we may see information those platforms make available, such as your public username, profile picture, and your comments or messages to us.
  • If you reply to one of our Instagram posts to receive a link, our automated messaging tool receives your Instagram username and the message you sent so it can reply to you.

What we do not collect

  • We do not take payments on this Site, so we do not collect or store your credit card or bank details.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. See Section 11.

3A. TEXT MESSAGES

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we send marketing text messages about deals, sales, and new content.

  • Consent is optional. You do not have to agree to texts to join our email list, buy anything, or use this Site.
  • Frequency varies, and we do not send a fixed number of messages per month.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. We do not charge you for the messages; your carrier may.
  • To stop, reply STOP to any message from us. You will get one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further marketing texts.
  • For help, reply HELP to any message, or email neil@mintarrow.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • We share your number with the messaging provider that sends these texts on our behalf. We do not sell your phone number, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information above to:

  • send you the newsletters and updates you subscribed to, and let you unsubscribe;
  • publish and respond to your comments;
  • answer your questions and provide support;
  • operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site;
  • understand which posts, products, and links our readers find useful, including by measuring clicks on affiliate links;
  • personalize what we show and send you;
  • promote our content, including through advertising on third-party platforms and by building audiences of people likely to be interested in it;
  • run giveaways and contests;
  • detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse; and
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes.

Strictly necessary. Keeping the Site working and secure, including protection against automated abuse by our security and content delivery provider.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used, which pages are read, and where visitors come from. Google processes this on our behalf and may set its own cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on.

Advertising and measurement. We use the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram) so we can measure the results of our own advertising and show our content to people likely to be interested in it. This involves sharing limited information, such as your device identifiers and the fact that you visited the Site, with Meta. You can control Meta’s use of your data in your Meta ad preferences.

Affiliate tracking. This is the one most readers do not expect, so we want to be plain about it. When you click a shopping link on this Site, the retailer sets a cookie that tells them we referred you. That cookie is how we are paid a commission if you buy something. It is set and controlled by the retailer or its affiliate network, not by us, and it is governed by that company’s privacy policy. The networks and programs involved include, without limitation, the Amazon Associates Program, Amazon Creator Connections, the Nordstrom creator program, ShopMy, and Walmart Creator, along with other affiliate networks and direct brand partnerships we may join from time to time.

We do not display third-party advertising on this Site.

Your controls. We use a cookie consent tool (Complianz) that asks visitors in regions requiring it to choose which cookies they accept, and records that choice. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the Site. Most browsers also accept cookies by default and let you refuse or delete them in settings, though blocking cookies may break parts of the Site. You can also opt out of many interest-based advertising cookies through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Global Privacy Control. Where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser.

6. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We share personal information with the following categories of recipients, for the purposes described above.

WhoWhy
Email platform (Kit)To store our subscriber list and send the emails you asked for
Analytics provider (Google Analytics)To measure how the Site is used
Advertising platform (Meta)To measure and target our own advertising
Website host, security, and content delivery providersTo serve and protect the Site
Affiliate networks and retailersTo attribute a referral and pay our commission, as described in Section 5
Social and messaging platformsTo operate our social accounts and reply to people who message us
Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountantsTo obtain advice and defend legal claims
Law enforcement or other partiesWhere required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety
A buyer or successorIf the business is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may transfer as a business asset. We will post notice on the Site if that happens

Except for the advertising and analytics platforms described in Section 5, which use information under their own terms, we do not permit the providers we hire to use your information for their own unrelated purposes.

7. WE DO NOT SELL YOUR INFORMATION FOR MONEY, BUT CALIFORNIA LAW IS BROADER THAN THAT

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never rent or lease our email list.

We want to be straight with you about something many sites bury. California law defines “selling” and “sharing” broadly enough that using advertising and analytics technologies, like the Meta pixel described in Section 5, can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising even though no money changes hands. We treat it that way rather than argue about it, which is why Section 10 gives you a way to opt out.

8. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

  • Email subscribers: for as long as you are subscribed, and after you unsubscribe we keep a suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake.
  • Blog comments: indefinitely, because they are published on the Site, unless you ask us to remove yours.
  • Analytics and usage data: for the retention period set in our analytics account, which is no longer than 14 months.
  • Messages you send us: as long as needed to handle your request and keep a reasonable business record.
  • Anything we must keep by law: for the period the law requires.

When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it or render it no longer identifiable.

9. YOUR RIGHTS, WHEREVER YOU LIVE

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • give you a copy of it, in a portable format;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop marketing to you; and
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, as described in Section 10.

How to make a request. Email neil@mintarrow.com or write to the mailing address in Section 1. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the time the law allows. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will only use what you give us for verification for that purpose. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf if you give that agent written permission and we can verify it.

Unsubscribing is always the fastest option for marketing. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.

10. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the rights in Section 9, plus the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

To opt out of sharing for advertising, do either of these:

  1. Turn on Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it. Where the law requires it, we treat that signal as an opt-out request.
  2. Email neil@mintarrow.com with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share.”

Categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, IP address), internet and network activity (pages viewed, links clicked, referring site), approximate location derived from IP address, commercial information (which products you clicked), and inferences drawn from the above about your preferences. Sources: you, your device and browser, and the social and messaging platforms you use to contact us. Business purposes: those in Section 4. Disclosed to: the categories of recipients in Section 6. Shared for cross-context behavioral advertising: identifiers and internet activity, with Meta, as described in Sections 5 and 7. Sensitive personal information: we do not collect it for purposes that trigger a right to limit its use.

We do not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16 years old.

11. CHILDREN

This Site is intended for adults. It is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email neil@mintarrow.com and we will delete it.

12. IF YOU ARE IN THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA OR THE UNITED KINGDOM

Our servers are in the United States, so using this Site involves transferring your information to the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on an approved safeguard, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or a provider’s participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We process your personal data on one of these legal bases: your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Site and understanding what our readers find useful), or compliance with a legal obligation.

In addition to the rights in Section 9, you may object to or ask us to restrict processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION

We use recognized industry practices to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If personal information we hold is lost, stolen, or compromised in a way that creates a real risk to you, we will notify affected individuals and any regulator the law requires, without undue delay.

14. OTHER SITES WE LINK TO

This Site links to other websites, including retailers. We do not control those sites or their privacy practices, and this Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site before giving it personal information. A link from this Site is not an endorsement of that site’s privacy practices.

15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version here. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give you clearer notice, such as a notice on the Site or an email. Please check back from time to time.
