Safe skincare during pregnancy favorites

February 12, 2018

One of the most frequently asked questions I get during pregnancy, or from pregnant readers, is “what are your favorite skincare products during pregnancy?” I'm finally tackling this question with some of the skincare products I swear by during pregnancy and breastfeeding that will keep your skin glowing, pretty and happy during this time when your body is going through an amazing amount of changes!

Natural Deodorant

Probably the hottest topic in safe skincare during pregnancy that I hear about is an all-natural deodorant that WORKS and doesn't contain aluminum or parabens. Those are the two things that people are most concerned about avoiding in deodorant during pregnancy.

This Agent Nateur all-natural deodorant completely sold out in the first 30 minutes of hitting the shelves in San Francisco! It has been wildly popular at Nordstrom locations across the country. I tried it and I think it works okay … but honestly this pure vanilla deodorant is my very favorite natural deodorant that I found just this past weekend in New York. I used it for four days on my trip and was SO thrilled about how well it worked, and it smells so good! It lasted all day and I'm totally in love. Clearly lots of other people are in love too since it's a top rated item! And the best part? It's only $14!

Moisturizers

Moisturizing is super important throughout pregnancy and luckily my two favorite moisturizers for a few years now, the Elemis pro-collagen marine cream and Clarins double serum are both pregnancy friendly! I really love both and alternate between the two, it just depends on whether you like a cream or serum more.

Cleansers

My favorite cleanser that also happens to be safe during pregnancy is the Elemis pro-collagen cleansing balm. It's SO soft and buttery on my skin and it cleanses like a dream. But if you're looking for a less expensive alternative, I honestly also love just washing my face with a dove bar. It's super gentle and doesn't contain harmful chemicals that you might want to avoid (see a full list here).

Stretch Mark Oils

Stretch marks are obviously a huge concern durning pregnancy for most women, and my go-to for avoiding stretch marks my past two pregnancies was this Mother's Special Blend that I swear by (and mention in this post and this post), but if you're looking for a little luxury splurge, I also recently tried out the Elemis Japanese Camellia Body Oil Blend and it smells amazing!!

Natural Bath Salts

One of my fave things to do while pregnant is relax in a warm (not hot!) bath at the end of a long day. Any epsom salts will work but I've been using and loving these natural dead sea bath salts.

Makeup Removal

As far as safe makeup removers, my two very favorites right now when it comes to safe skincare makeup removal products are the Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift which has AMAZING benefits for your skin (read more here!) and feels so amazing when you cleanse your face with this tool. If you need more of a money-saving option, I'm also really into the Makeup Eraser lately too which will take your makeup off without any products or chemicals. Pretty unbelievable!

Collagen Pure:

Having read this I thought it was rather enlightening.
I appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this
information together. I once again find myself spending a significant
amount of time both reading and commenting. But so what, it
was still worthwhile!
