GOOD. I tried on a ton of tops and sweaters with my jeans (see only THE BEST of jeans here) and I’m only sharing the very best tops, bottoms and dresses today! This is the perfect opportunity to get your fall wardrobe ahead of time AND on sale! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale women’s selection really is excellent this year and word is spreading quick, so let’s get you the good stuff before it’s gone.

Short Sleeve Sweater
Short sleeve sweater: HANDS DOWN my favorite overall sweater of the entire sale. I feel like the stock photo does this serious injustice in that it doesn’t show nearly enough of its cuteness that comes out when you try it on IRL! The ruffle detail is so cute and it’s better than words can describe.
I ended up getting it in ivory, but you really can’t go wrong with either color. Maybe the reason I love it SO much is that you can wear it now, not wait until October.
Cable Knit Sweater
Cable knit sweater: I loved this classic cable knit sweater. This is so on trend for fall coming up and I loved the brown color it comes in just as much too. The crop length was seriously perfect!
V-Neck Sweater
Ribbed v-neck sweater: This sweater is for all my California (or other warm places) girls who will want to wear a sweater in the fall but it will still be sweltering hot. It’s extremely lightweight and super soft so it’s going to be perfect for a date night when the sun goes down even this summer. Runs TTS and comes in 5 colors! I pushed myself to not get a neutral (so adventurous I know) and settled on this baby blue. But since it’s affordably $32, you can get it in more than 1 color if you want!
Button Up Cardigan
Button Up Cardigan: This is just the easiest, throw on and go, school pick up line, lunch with girlfriends, errands cardigan that would go with pretty much anything! Jeans and a gray tee? Check! Leggings and a white tee? Check! I love that it’s lightweight enough to wear even in the warmer fall months!
FAVORITE basic tee
This tee was my very favorite basic of the ENTIRE SALE. So good that I bought two! This brand is extremely high quality so I was shocked when I realized these tees weren’t close to $100 like a lot of designer tees are, but they’re $34.99 during the sale. It’s slightly cropped but not so much that you’ll be sporting your belly button. Just enough to cover the top of your jeans.
Denim Jacket
Denim jacket: This denim jacket is the perfect black wash and I love the cropped length. It’s an extremely versatile piece of clothing that can be dressed up or dressed down and the fit is so cute!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: BOTTOMS
Wide Leg Pants
Wide leg pants: Wide legs are all the rage right now. These pants were SO comfortable and lightweight. They are on the baggier side so maybe size down for a more fitted fit. They are also long which is perfect for the tall girlies!
Corduroy Flare Pants
Corduroy pants: Whether you’re a big flare jean girl already, or wanting to buy your first pair, these. are. it!! I love how soft and stretchy these are and so comfy wit a no button waistband. The flare is perfect, not too obnoxious and not too small. These would look so cute with a chunky fall sweater or blazer if you want to dress it up a little!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: DRESSES
Faux Leather Shirtdress:
Faux leather dress: This was my favorite affordable dress of the sale! $79.99 during Anniversary ($130 after), and I knew the second I saw it that it was going home with me. The fit is perfect, the length is perfect and I’m all about the longer sleeves. This is 100% going to be my dress of choice this fall!
Best Designer Dress:
Long sleeve sweater dress: I didn’t really want to like this dress because the price tag was a little higher than I wanted to go, BUT there it was, just begging to be tried on with its bell sleeves, buttons, and perfect midi length. It fit so well that I couldn’t walk away without it! It’s a deep brown with almost a tiny bit of red tone (but not quite burgundy) and I can’t wait for fall to wear it!
Second best designer dress:
Satin midi dress: They know how to nail button-down shirts so I wasn’t shocked when this dress turned out perfect too! It hits in all the right places, is flattering, feminine, and formal enough for just about any occasion without feeling stuffy.
Modest LBD
Little black dress: The perfect modest little black dress has arrived! It’s hard to find a LBD that’s also modest and yet not frumpy. This one checks all the boxes.
The best date night dress:
Long sleeve rib dress: I loved this dress so much in all 3 colors, I had a hard time choosing a fave! The back tie detail is even more fun than I anticipated. The neck is a bit more low and wide than my other picks, but it still worked for me. I don’t think it’s as low or wide as the stock pictures make it look! It’s not quite bodycon, but it gives you good shape for a date night too.
Skirt + Sweater perfection
This skirt and sweater combo is SO on-trend for fall this year! It hits all the right boxes for what’s IN rn: maxi skirts, combining textures, monochrome outfits…we’re in love with it all. Score the skirt for 34% OFF here, and the sweater for 32% OFF here!
