Corrine StokoeI FINALLY got to go out on a real-live date night with Neil for my birthday a couple weeks ago and that night my DMs filled right up with the same question over and over: “what is that pretty lace dress you're wearing?! CAN YOU LINK THE DRESS?” Since it actually wasn't a dress but a super fab little lace top find, I had Neil snap a few quick pics of this and I'm sharing the details with you today PLUS since I love this date night look so much, I thought I would give you a look for less option as well!
Puff Sleeve Lace Top
This lace top is so beautiful and I was so excited for an excuse to wear it as part of my date night look! It comes in seven different colors, fits true to size, and seriously can be dressed up or down. You can wear it tucked into a skirt or with jeans and sneakers for other outfit options!
This top rings in at $89, but I also found this stunning dupe for only $30! It has the same feminine, romantic vibe and layers perfectly under a blazer or cardigan as the weather cools down! Both tops come with a tank shell to prevent full translucence, but I like to layer my lace tops with this undershirt for more modesty. Hint: pair with a nude undershirt (instead of white) for more understated layering!
Le Crop Mini Boot Jeans
Okay, I LOVE these crop jeans! Plus they are proof that you absolutely can do a crop jean for winter. They're so cute and so comfy. The flare was made for showcasing a winter bootie and I DIE over the super cute, flattering pockets. Cropped flare jeans are such a fun trend! These jeans were on sale for Nordstrom Anniversary but are back to full price now, so I'll be keeping an eye out for additional deals on them!
I found this super affordable look alike for only $80 (plus, it’s BOGO half off if you need two pairs of jeans!) These jeans are suuuuper similar and they are only 1/3 the price!
Booties
I tried on every single pair of tan heeled booties in Nordstrom and these booties were the clear winner by a mile. They are a 9/10 for comfort, like not quite running-shoes comfortable, but they're really easy to wear for a night (or day!) out. The silhouette of this shoe makes your legs look elongated and super slim which is always a win. They are seriously sooo pretty the color is like caramel apple magic. These are the shoes you'll wear all fall and winter!
Although I usually subscribe to the theory that you get what you pay for, I did find this pair of tan booties that are super similar and on sale for 40% off right now making them only $83.40! I can't attest to the comfort factor, but for the price, I call it a win!!
Nude Shoulder Bag
Since this was an important event (hello, I only turn 36 once!) I carried one of my fave high-end bags from my closet to go out on the town. This quilted YSL is a splurge for sure, but I'm totally in love. When I am used to carrying around a massive diaper bag, it’s a simple treat to be able to use just a small bag on date night or GNO. I love not having to carry around all the things for all the people for just a couple hours!
If you're looking to splurge on a high-end bag, it's always good to spend your pennies on a neutral that you can wear over and over again to make the investment worth it. This bag is such a pretty nude that goes with everything. The size is perfect for all your essentials and I love that it can be worn as a cross-body or shoulder bag or carried as a clutch.
