Living in Southern California I don't need a winter coat that can withstand subzero winter conditions, so I was on the hunt for something that was going to keep me warm but wouldn't have me sweating to death the second we popped inside. This lightweight puffer absolutely hit the mark for me, checked all the boxes, and far exceeded my expectations in terms of what I was looking for. The ONLY marshmallow coat I want s'more of

What initially drew me to this ultralight puffer jacket was the perfect five-star reviews, but I stayed for all the amazing features. Well, that and it's super cute and flattering on. Everybody who reads this blog knows I'm a sucker for a puffy coat in the winter. However, if you don't choose your coat carefully you can go from cute to marshmallow fluff in 2 seconds flat! This Zella puffer jacket is a little business in the front and a little party in the back. The nice waist elongates the legs in the front, but the longer length in the back provides just a little extra bum coverage.

One thing I am always drawn to when making a purchase is versatility. Being able to wear (or use) one item multiple ways is GOLD to me. This puffer is already super affordable and rings in just UNDER $100, but it's reversible and has a removable hood so it is kind of like getting four jackets for the price of one! Because this jacket is ultra lightweight, it is the ideal coat for winter travel. It's totally squishable and won't add a lot of additional bulk or weight to your suitcase.

This is not a coat you would pack if you were headed to Antartica, but it was perfect for a chilly mountain getaway. It kept me perfectly toasty warm in Lake Arrowhead's cold and windy conditions without making me feel overheated.

A few of the reviewers said the jacket runs small, but it was a true to size fit for me. I prefer my puffer jackets a little more fitted for less of that Stay Puft marshmallow man look. The ease of the button front closure is heavenly and also makes it easy to actually take advantage of the reversible functionality. This is legitimately the perfect winter jacket of your dreams.

A basic that is anything but that

You may remember this Zella performance tee from my How to Style Joggers post. It is one of those high quality basics that I wear on repeat because it's so good. This tee is moisture-wicking and quick-drying making it perfect for a good workout, but also makes for the most comfortable loungewear. Soft, breathable and a TTS fit. I have loved this Zella t-shirt for a long long time making it well worth the investment.

A winter-worthy wedge

If you have been around this blog for awhile, you know that I occasionally spell winter S-O-R-E-L. Sorel boots and booties are a total winter staple for me. Pairing any winter outfit with a Sorel wedge bootie instantly pulls your outfit together and looks super cute without losing any functionality. They are shockingly and insanely comfortable, plus they've got that whole warm and dry thing on lock.
