In case you cant tell this is one little girl who's super duper excited that it's finally time to go back to school! We put her in a little summer school for a week this summer and she would come home everyday begging to go back. It's such an exciting time for kids, and I keep thinking it probably won't last too much longer before she gets old enough to NOT want to go to school, so I'll take it! One thing I think EVERY kid can get on board with is back to school shopping because it's a lot like workout clothes, sometimes your outfit is the best part haha! And to make it more fun for you parents? Well, right now Kohl's has a super great sale going on for all of their kids back to school clothes and accessories!
How many of you mamas out there used to tie your flannels around your waist?! Anabelle had no idea what I was doing when I was tying a “shirt” around her waist and I couldn't help but laugh at the generation gap. This flannel has such pretty colors in it and is so warm and cozy. Perfect for the first few awkward weeks of school when it's a bit chilly in the morning but sweltering hot by recess, and layering is essential!
These jeans deserve a moment of praiseworthy silence because of how well they allow kids to move around in. Anabelle was so excited to show off her skills she learned at cheer camp this summer and these jeans are perfect for your kids to go to school in, play around on the playground in and everything in between. Plus they're SUPER affordable – on sale right now for $14.99!
For me Converse and Jansport are the epitome of back to school shopping. These sneakers are so fun AND functional and I don't think they'll ever really go out of style. Kohl's has so many color options for kids Converse, but I couldn't help but love the white for a fresh new school year. We'll see how long they stay this clean, but then again I guess dirty sneakers are always the sign of a good day on the playground right?
I'm not quite sure how long these backpacks have been around (or a “pack-pack as my youngest calls them haha) but I think that only shows what great quality you get from these. And who can resist carrying this pink one around all day?
So I wish this entire outfit came in sizes for us big kids too, but mostly this bomber jacket!! I mean, a bedazzled ice cream cone? I'm all in for my favorite food without the calories! Anabelle thought the ice cream cone detailing was pretty cool too and she loved jumping around during this shoot! This jacket pairs perfectly with this striped top because the detailing in the top has just enough sparkle to make it fun, but not so much you're going to dread doing the laundry with it!
One of the things I love the most about this pleated skirt (other than how cute it is)? The material! It's a heavier fabric which makes it the absolutely most perfect skirt for the cooler fall and winter months for those days your little girls don't want to wear jeans to school. And if you live in even colder temps, this skirt would be perfect to add some heavier tights under it for another fun look.
These shoes remind me of little Chloe flats at a much MUCH more kid friendly price! Again, Anabelle had so much fun posing and playing for this shoot and I loved that these flats offered a “pretty” look for everyday play wear, but still had plenty of traction on the bottom so kids aren't slipping when they run after each other on the playground.
And RIGHT NOW through Sunday Kohl's is having a friends and family sale that gives you 20% off your entire purchase with the code FF20OFF at checkout! I honestly got SO many things for Anabelle from Kohl's last week for school and couldn't believe how much I saved by shopping there to get her ready to go back to school.
