PRIMING SERUM: I started with the True Skin Radiant Priming Serum. Anytime you can use a primer and foundation from the same line, DO IT! The ingredients are more compatible and go together like peanut butter and jelly! This serum protects, smooths, and tightens upon application. Tip: Be sure to let it dry for a few minutes before you apply the foundation to maximize skincare benefits!
Makeup
FOUNDATION: The color matching on the True Skin Serum Foundation is so SPOT ON (I'm wearing Catalina SF7)! I love how lightweight it is, but that it still provides enough coverage. It's reminiscent of a tinted moisturizer but with BETTER coverage!
The foundation is chock-full of amazing ingredients like jojoba and aloe to soothe and calm redness and gives you such flawless finish while still looking like SKIN. It is also one of InStyle's 2019 BEST BEAUTY BUYS!! So like, it's good enough to win awards, people!
CONCEALER: I was SO impressed by the True Skin Serum Concealer! The buildable coverage is made even better by its amazing natural ingredients. The concealer actually has skincare benefits, like protecting your skin from free radicals (aka all the things that make you age), while firming and nourishing!
HIGHLIGHTER: The liquid highlighter is VERY easy to use, not messy and totally blendable! I love the soft sheen it gives to the high planes of my face (cheekbones and bridge of the nose). The serum-like consistency gives such a natural dewiness that I was tempted to bathe my whole body in it!
BROW GEL: I am SO happy with the Essential Brow Gel! It has an amazing, buildable color payoff and grooms brows without the stiffness or flaking of traditional gels. So if you need a little extra help making tiny brow looking hairs magically grow into your brow line, you can build up to that, or just lightly set your brows if you only want a little help!
BERRY BLUSH: I was excited to add some berry colors to my makeup color palette! I love that it mimics the natural cold-weather cheek flush, and pairs beautifully with all winter clothing tones! Matching my lip and cheeks is one of my favorite EASY ways to dress up my weekday makeup look. I mirrored these color tones on my eyes to let those beautiful berry hues shine. ILIA's multi stick is such an effortless way to add color to your face! I love the soft texture that blends perfectly into skin on contact! You can apply it straight from the stick or use a brush to buff it into the skin.
LIPSTICK: One swipe is all I needed of ILIA's Color Block High Impact Lipstick! It provides rich, lasting color and helped my lips feel totally hydrated. It can be hard to wear lipstick in the winter because it can be so drying! But this formula, which includes apricot oil and mango seed butter, kept my lips feeling soft all day.
EYESHADOW AND EYE PRIMER: Give me a palette with a variety of different finishes and I am SOLD! If you use all shimmer or metallic shadows, your eyeshadow can turn out muddy-looking with no definition! Utilizing a matte shade in the crease makes the shimmer on the lid stand out, and vice-versa. These buttery soft, talc-free eyeshadows have AMAZING pigment and the slim compact is perfect to travel with. I also put the eyeshadow over the Natural Brightening Eye Primer to ensure all-day wear!
