If you saw my beauty post yesterday where I did a little tutorial on curling my hair with a flat iron and all Fall makeup, you know I was saving the “final look” for last! Here it is all together with a casual cozy look that will take you right into pumpkin-spice-everything season from my favorite line at Kohl's, the Lauren Conrad line.
First let's just talk about this berry colored sweater. It's bold and beautiful and screams “Fall” without being a bright orange lit-up pumpkin sweatshirt! In the past I've been known to say that maroon (or berry) is one of my least favorite colors but when I tried this particular sweater on I was like, “okay, I actually like this!” It also comes in a really pretty soft gray though for anyone like me who usually isn't drawn to the bold gem colors.
I love that it's such a feminine sweater with ruffles and an eyelet detail! This is a trend I saw a lot in February during New York Fashion Week when I came for all the Fall previews, and this is a great way to take that trend into your “everyday” runway of running errands, going to lunch with a friend or to the park with your kids, or just taking a little walk through your neighborhood!
I'm always looking for ways to try to look put-together without being uncomfortably too dressy. That just doesn't match my everyday lifestyle so this type of outfit allows you to achieve both!
Speaking of comfort, if you're motivated by comfort you'll love both the black skinnies AND the booties from this post. Both very comfy and both on sale! The jeans are currently $36.99 and the booties are $59.99.
If you're curious about how I curled my hair, you're gonna need to read yesterday's post where I explained curling your hair with a flat iron, yep!
Also one of my FAVORITE trends of the Fall is the wool hat and this one is only $26.40 right now!!
Never underestimate the power of a good hat when you have greasy hair or the wind or rain ruins an otherwise good hair day or you're just feeling lazy haha.
I really think these inexpensive items are such great picks to freshen up your Fall wardrobe! And if you're afraid of berry like I was, give it a try. You might be surprised!!
Make sure you check out yesterday's post to see the full beauty tutorial of how I did my hair and makeup for this post.
