Cutest Easter dresses for women and kids – 2026 update!

Quick version: these are the best Easter dresses for women and outfits for kids in 2026!

Easter is in SIX weeks! Have you found you/your girls Easter dresses yet? This year I shopped at Nordstrom to get the perfect Easter outfit for my kids and myself, and I was SO happy with all of their options – I think you'll be super excited about adding them to your spring wardrobe, too! It's the perfect time to shop.

Easter has become one of my top 2 favorite holidays (next to Christmas). I was really affected by this quote that says, “We should be taking steps to celebrate Easter in creative new ways: in art, literature, children’s games, poetry, music, dance, festivals, bells, special concerts. … This is our greatest festival. Take Christmas away, and in biblical terms you lose two chapters at the front of Matthew and Luke, nothing else. Take Easter away, and you don’t have a New Testament; you don’t have a Christianity.” – New Testament scholar N. T. Wright.

I've made a really big effort to make Easter a whole season, not just a day, for our family. I'm volunteering on a big Easter event in our area called A Walk With Christ, and if you're close enough to come, please come! Last year we had 3,000 people attend. This year we're anticipating close to 10k!

One of my favorite traditions that my mom always did in my house growing up that I've continued on with my kids is always buying a special Easter dress for Easter Sunday.

We went through alllll the dresses at Nordstrom and found these super cute Easter dresses and outfits for my kids and me. Let's talk about our fave options first and at the very end you'll find a bunch of other really cute styles, too!

Sunday Will Come

As I was preparing this post a few years ago, I vaguely remembered a talk called “Sunday Will Come” so I looked it up and reread it. I couldn’t imagine anything more perfect to share here during what felt like coming out of a kind of dark and confusing time.

If you’re still feeling the weight of all that happened the past few years and even the turmoil of the world right now, here’s a talk that I hope will lift your spirits because it certainly lifted mine. Here’s a favorite excerpt: “Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays.

But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come.

No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come. In this life or the next, Sunday will come.” – Joseph B. Wirthlin, Sunday Will Come.

Our Easter Dress Tradition

I've always LOVED to find an Easter dress, and I love finding Easter dresses for my girls, too. That's a tradition my mom did with me and my sister when we were little girls, and now it’s something I love to do with my girls and they love it, too. This year we headed straight to Nordstrom to find beautiful dresses for EVERYONE in all the different sizes, ages, and phases of life. We found something really age-appropriate for everybody and I’m so excited to share everything!

How to pick the perfect Easter dress:

There are so many different kinds of Easter dresses to choose from, and we list a ton at the bottom of this post. When thinking about Easter dress shopping, I like to look for details, including lace, embroidery, or an eyelet fabric. I also love pretty sleeves (ruffles or puffed), and pretty spring colors!

There’s something so elegant about pastels, especially once the weather starts to warm up again. When choosing an Easter dress, I always look for something bright and springy because it really does make me so happy to kick off my warm weather wardrobe (and to feel extra pretty doing it, too!).

The Power of Wearing Red for Easter

Red isn't necessarily the color you would think of when you think of Easter, but it's actually a really special color for Easter. The color symbolizes sacrifice, suffering, and the ultimate act of love.

This red midi completely surprised me in the best way! The pleats are super flattering and perfectly structured, while the rest of the dress flows in harmony. It comes at a great price point especially for a 100% cotton dress! Pair it with these slingback sandals and you're set.

My Bold, Her Blue

The best balance for a bold red: a sweet and delicate light blue. How perfect is this embroidered tulle dress I got Millie?! These two are a match made in heaven!!

The Show-Stopping Floral

If you’re wanting something that will truly stand out, this embroidered dress is SUCH a beautiful find.

The puff sleeves? The scalloped hem? The 3D floral appliqués? The details are so intricate, eye-catching and even prettier in person!! It’s the kind of dress that makes you feel special the second you put it on. It did fall slightly short on me, but it's still a gem nonetheless. With an Easter dress like this, a neutral flat is the perfect pairing to truly let the dress have its moment.

Classic White Eyelet Dress

There’s just something about a white dress for Easter that feels so fresh and fitting for spring. This one has the sweetest broderie anglaise detailing, that gives it texture and interest while still feeling timeless.

The fit-and-flare silhouette is so flattering and making it comfortable and easy to wear. I also love the midi length for a polished look without feeling overly formal. It’s light, airy, and exactly what I picture for a sunny Easter morning.

Coming in at $74, it's the most affordable of the three and is also available in navy and periwinkle! SIZING NOTE: this dress runs a little small, I wish I would have gotten it a size up.
