There's something about wearing a bright, cheery outfit that can just make your day feel different. It's like having a really good breakfast, or reading something really inspirational, or hearing your favorite song come on the radio, right at the start of your day.

This yellow lace dress is totally that type of piece in my closet. Every time I look at it I'm tempted to wear it, even when I'm totally not doing something that would merit wearing a dress. It's feminine without being pink, it's your “best dressed” without being too formal, it's interesting but not loud, it's detailed but not dizzy, it's bright but not blinding, it's eye-catching without demanding the center of attention, it's flattering without being fitted, it's timeless but not dated.

One brief little note about my accessories too – this ivory bag has gone out many times with me in its short lifespan and it still looks perfectly brand new. There's something about a high quality bag that just makes it last, even in a delicate color. I LOVE the double wrapped chain that makes it easily convertible from a short strap to a super long, cross-body strap. It's like having two bags in one!

And these cork wedges! Totally on the more affordable end of my shoes at $69.95 and really comfortable too. Cork is just known for being more comfortable than most shoe materials, and the wedge makes it even more wearable for long periods of time.
