How to apply Loving Tan for the best results

Self tanner application is its own skill. Here is what I have learned after years of trial and error:

Exfoliate first. Buffing mitt in the shower with just water. No soap or oil residue or your tan will not stick evenly.
Moisturize the dry spots. Elbows, knees, ankles, knuckles, the backs of your knees, heels. Anywhere that is naturally drier soaks up self tanner triple-strength and goes blotchy. A thin layer of regular body lotion before applying self tanner solves it.
Use a tanning mitt. Loving Tan sells one and it is worth it. Sweeping motions, no circles. Blend, blend, blend.
Wait the full development time. 2 hours for the 2 HR Express, 8 hours for the Deluxe. Resist the urge to shower early.
