How to style sequins for your holiday party this year

Let's get ready to sparkle!!! Almost everyone I know is getting ready for some sort of holiday get-together, whether it's a company holiday party, a family Christmas dinner, or a New Year's Eve party, it's my favorite time of year to get away with a little more sparkle than usual like it's no big deal.

I absolutely love the combo of the sequins in this CeCe skirt and the girly touch of the lace in this button up blouse. I really love CeCe because I'm always naturally drawn to anything feminine with a bow, a ruffle or a lace trim and the lace trim on this blouse just kind of tied it all together, while not competing with the glitter of the sequin skirt!

You should always have ONE hero piece in your outfit and the sequin skirt is definitely the showoff of this outfit, so the lace trim blouse is a nice subtle girly touch in the background.

I generally like to stick with more subdued accessories too when I go with sequins. This especially goes if you wear a sequin or embellished dress, where the sequins are an even bigger statement! I also usually go super minimal with jewelry. But then again, I like minimal jewelry in general.

But just because you pick one hero piece doesn't mean everything else has to be boring!

I threw in an unexpected twist by wearing these black/navy tights. Yes! Black/navy. They're actually reversible, so even though I'm wearing the navy side, they kinda look black from afar but they're definitely navy when you look close! I also really liked how they looked against suede strappy heels and bonus … these tights have a control top! I'm always a fan of that, especially when you go to a yummy dinner haha.

I found this entire outfit at Macy's online and I love how everything came back fitting perfectly and looking even cuter in person than I expected. I literally didn't have to return or exchange anything, it all fit just like I hoped it would.

I also seriously considered this sparkly CeCe dress or this velvet CeCe fit and flare dress with tights! Both really pretty holiday options that would be a little more subtle, if sequins aren't your jam.
