My top picks from Free People to mix and match all winter long!

If you’ve followed me for a while you know that I LOVE Free People clothing!! They've been a dream brand for me to work with a couple of times now, and I am so excited and grateful to work with them again. Their clothes are not only super great quality, but they're also comfortable and seriously the CUTEST ever.

Need a flowy dress for right after having a baby? Free People. How about some perfect flares? Free People. Pretty thermal tops? Free People. Cute oversized sweaters that layer over leggings? Free People. Coats and jackets that go with everything that are so cozy you'll hope for cold weather? Free People. You get the idea.

One thing I love most about Free People is that they have so many closet staples that are perfect to mix and match for many different outfit looks. I'm so excited to show you some of my favorite, top-rated must-haves that are affordable and perfect for winter – both to dress up for holiday parties, or to dress down for cozy nights in.

Interchangeable top

A long-sleeve, solid colored top is a big must-have for the winter. Layer with a coat or throw a cute sweater over it and create so many cute outfits for the cold. This Rickie Top is seriously one of my faves! I love how simple, yet cute it is with the ribbed texture and the mock neck. So comfy and stylish, this top comes in 13 different colors!

Now, hear me out: turquoise and red.

Kinda random, I know – but these two colors have become an unexpected FAVE color combo of mine! So I just had to get this Crew Love Bodysuit in this pretty turquoise color (you'll see it in some photos below!) as an option to pair with these pants. Its seamless fabric is so soft and stretchy for the perfect fit.

Style either of these tops under overalls or fun festive pants (similar option here) and you’ll look like a million bucks. You'll definitely want these winter staples in your closet, especially because they're so reasonably priced for something you'll wear over and over and over again.

The thing about investing in Free People clothing? Everything stays in amazing shape, after tons and tons of wears. So you really get your pennies worth and you actually buy LESS clothing over time because your staples stay good as new for years!

Festive velvet pants

How cute are these red velvet flared pants? They look so good with the bodysuit, or the mock neck long sleeve.

I actually have these pants in two colors because they're just THAT comfortable. When you're wearing them, it feels like you’re wearing pajamas! Plus the textured striped design and the flattering fit of the flare leg is everything. There isn’t enough space to show you all of the amazing reviews RAVING about these pants, but here's a few of them!

“Do not hesitate! You need these especially for the holiday season, so slimming. I’m an athletic size 12 – I purchased the large, they look great on and these are not so flared out as the others I know I purchased… Length is perfect, I’m 5’6. They feel amazing and color is spot on!!!”

And a review that speaks my language: “These pants are so comfortable and cute, they feel like sweat pants but aren’t.”

NOTE: If you aren't seeing your size, here's a similar pair!

Overall my favorite overalls

Overalls are one of my fave pieces that you can wear all year round! This denim pair from Free People is seriously the most comfortable overalls I’ve EVER worn. With a little bit of a boyfriend, relaxed fit, they're so comfy and so flattering. Style these with a bodysuit like this one or even a sweater because of the relaxed fit. These are a timeless denim piece that won’t break the bank!

Dreamy bomber jacket

Right away you know this bomber jacket is going to be so warm and cozy for winter with its duvet-inspired design. Throw it over your overalls, a dress, or the sweatsuit you’ve been rocking this season for a perfect winter look. Plus it comes in six cute colors!

Perfect accessories

This bag is the perfect tiny little size that'll fit all of your essentials without being too bulky or big. The chain-link detail is perfect for dressing up or for a more casual, everyday look. And for the amazing quality (and it being from Free People), the price is amazing!!

I also couldn’t miss out on showing you these Sugar Oversized Square Sunglasses for $25!! SO trendy and chic, I think this pair of sunglasses adds the perfect touch to any outfit.

A splurge that's SO worth it

All of the Free People clothing pieces I picked are some of the most very affordable staples for your closet – except maybe these boots. BUT these cowboy boots are beautiful, and a totally worth-it kind of splurge!

They're all the rage right now in the fashion world, and you can style them with a cute skirt or even pants and jeans. One of my favorite things about these boots is they're SO comfortable you don’t even have to break them in – wear them straight out of the box! If you’re looking to splurge on a little something for yourself, this staple shoe is IT.
