Favorite items for Fall: 6 new things you'll be obsessed with

Hello there OCTOBER – my favorite month of the year!! Even if it isn't particularly chilly where you live, I know everyone has the best season of the year on their minds. Seeing all the pumpkin-flavored everything at Trader Joe's has got me so excited for the next couple months. It's time to get cozy, make your house smell like a cider mill, and indulge in all the cute fall things for your wardrobe.

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICE HOT CHOCOLATE: My mom has this pumpkin-spiced hot chocolate recipe that smells as good as it tastes! You'll want to make it on repeat for all of October and November before switching to egg nog in December. This initial mug is such a classic. I think they'd be so cute lined up on a mug rack with every family member's initial! They also make such a good gift. I use mine all the time!

BEST PUMPKIN CANDLE EVER: This soy HARVEST candle is the very best pumpkin smelling candle I have EVER come across in my entire life!! I would bet anything that you'll be obsessed too. While you're at it, get ready for the holidays and throw in a WASSAIL candle (my other favorite) that you'll burn over and over all winter long. These candles will make a room smell amazing even if you just OPEN them (without burning!) but they're also amazing, obviously, when burned and last a really long time.

SOFTEST BLANKETS EVER: I also make my house feel cozy with the snuggliest blankets you can imagine. These crazy cozy blankets are impossibly soft and Ani and Lyla are obsessed with cuddling up in them. They're amazing to toss over the back of the couch, add a cozy layer to your bed at night, or wrap around your shoulders while you shuffle around the house first thing in morning warming up. For real, you can't touch these without wanting to rub them against your cheek and they are the #1 thing we fight over in this house haha.

PERFECT BLANKET SCARF: One of the easiest ways to turn your summer wardrobe into Fall is by throwing this $14 blanket scarf on. They come in over 20 different colors and some of them are as inexpensive as $11. If you're out and about with a nursing little one, they also help with discreet public nursing! And they're perfect for airplanes or movie theaters, where I know I tend to get a little chilly.

KNOCKOFF GRAPHIC SWEATSHIRT: This long sleeve graphic tee is such a fun way to kind of get into the spirit of Halloween without wearing a full-on costume! It's for sure a wildfox knockoff and isn't quite as soft as a wildfox sweatshirt, but I actually like that it's a little lighter than their sweatshirts are plus the unfinished edges are so cute! And a seasonal tee can be hard to justify but for $21.99 I'm all in!

FLATTERING CAMO PANTS: Camo is SO in for Fall 2018 and I'm obsessing so hard over these skinnies that I wore in last week's how to wear camo post that I'll probably just keep wearing them over and over. They're just SO flattering, stretchy and comfy and affordable all at once that I think everyone should own a pair!

  1. Hi! Totally off topic–but can anyone go to a mormon church service just to check it out & see what it’s all about? Are they even open to the public?

    1. Hey Jen, YES anyone can join us for church services! This coming weekend it’s our semi-annual general conference so we won’t have normal services, but you can watch along with us at lds.org … and then next week we’ll be back to regular church service. You can find the time and location closest to you and more of what to expect here: https://www.mormon.org/worship 🙂
