the softest sweater i’ve ever owned

trouve drape neck sweater

that title is no lie – this trouve drape neck sweater that i found at nordstrom is by far, hands down, no competition, the softest sweater i've ever owned. then again, i've never popped for real cashmere (because generally speaking we're looking at $200-300!) but i honestly thought this was the real deal when i first felt it. softness FOR DAYS!

i paired this with some super soft and amazing-fitting black denim and my first pair of over-the-knee boots (also worn here) for a casual NYC look during fashion week, also found at nordstrom. i got the pants and boots during the nordstorm anniversary sale, and i ran in there before fashion week and almost my entire wardrobe for fashion week came from them. i love knowing that in one amazing store i can get beautiful clothes, shoes, jewelry, bags, all in ONE place where they have the best customer service known to man and all the brands i love the most! there are so many other department stores close to me now, but i have a hard time wanting to shop anywhere else. nordstrom feels like home to me.

i also took this kate spade tote with me to more places than any other bag because it's kind of like my comfort blanket of a gigantic bag that isn't a diaper bag but i can still throw everything in it and feel like i still have my diaper bag! shhh don't tell the fashion police i just admitted to needing my diaper bag haha.

lastly, my ray ban pink mirror sunnies. easily my favorite shades right now. i can't decide if it's because they're PINK or because they're so lightweight i can wear them all day without a headache. either way, they're not going away any time soon.

  1. I might totally have to get a couple of these in various colors! I’m loving the look and if they are super soft, sign me up! They are definitely long enough for leggings and would be adorable under vests this fall/winter. Also loving those boots! You’ve definitely got GREAT style lady!

  2. Hi! I’m thinking of getting those boots, but I have a bit of calf muscle happening. Does the shaft seem narrow? Online reviews seem to be mixed. Thanks!

  3. About to buy the sweater but no reviews on sizing!Does it run true to size ? Does it run big (like Ann Taylor/Eileen Fisher?)

Can I ask what size you are/what size you bought?

    1. hey jess! i bought a medium and i would say it maybe runs slightly big, but i kind of like my sweaters oversized 😉 hope that helps!
