I get a lot of questions about what my favorite kitchen and home appliances and tools are, probably because I'm constantly snapchatting myself in our kitchen using these things! So today I thought it would be fun to give you guys my list of the top 10 things I'd tell any bride to register for, or any wedding attendee to give to a newlywed couple, AND how to get them on sale right now too!
One of the things I love about Macy's is that they're almost always having a great sale, so you can stack the WEDDING code on top of another sale or discount on almost all of the products below!
1. Good pots and pans!
Most chefs will agree that the best pots and pans out there are All-Clad. My mom's had hers for years and years, I've had mine for almost a decade, and they're still in perfect condition! They are incredibly durable, they cook evenly to avoid burning food, and they're super easy to clean. Once you go All-Clad you'll never go back!
Bride HACK: register for individual pieces and a set, that way if someone wants to buy just one separate piece they can! Wait until you've received most of your gifts and if you have several All-Clad separate pieces, leave them unopened and return them all together to get a set. You'll get more bang for your buck that way!
I really love this pasta stock pot that I got about a year ago. We use it constantly!! It's the perfect size to boil a pot of water for pasta and comes with a built-in strainer. It's the perfect $100 gift for a couple you know well enough to want to give a nice but not too nice gift.
I also own this 12qt multi pot that holds double the volume of the pasta pot, but I rarely use it because it takes SO LONG to boil a pot of water in there! You have to fill it up with so much water to get it past the straining pot, and it seriously feels like hours waiting for the water in there to boil haha. It's amazing though if you're doing a huge canning day and doing big batch cooking.
2. KitchenAid Stand Mixer
I'm such a die-hard loyal fan of KitchenAid Stand Mixers!!! I've watched my former caterer now food blogging mom use her white KitchenAid since I was a little girl, and the only celebrity chef I fully trust, Ina Garten, also uses a white KitchenAid. I've been a long-time user of the KitchenAid Pro and still highly recommend this for a serious chef, someone who plans on doing a LOT of cooking!
However, I'm kind of wildly obsessed with the brand new Mini KitchenAid Stand Mixers that just came out!!! They're tiny but mighty. I've made chocolate chip cookies and muffins so far with this little guy and I'm blown AWAY by how well it works, and the bowl is just shaped differently so it takes up less space but still handles a batch of cookies or muffin batter perfectly. It also has a really nice brand new feature where it slowly starts so you don't get an explosion at startup! This is such a great gift for someone who's in a small space starting off in their marriage, like an apartment or townhouse where most likely you're starving for counter space.
3. A vacuum that will make your life easier
I've been singing Dyson's praises for ages now and my love for them is still fierce, but do you know what I'm newly in love with? This little iRobot Roomba! Hello LIFE CHANGER. This thing will clean your floors for you without you lifting a finger. Pretty unbelievable!
Back to Dyson though, I'm a huge fan of the Dyson Ball Animal vacuum, especially if you have pets! Back when we had a dog who shed a lot, this was a total lifesaver.
