spring style board: haute minimalist

You know what I love? When you can get people on the plain jane bandwagon. I’m all for some color and print and flowery hippy happiness, bold reds, fun flirty girly colors, but sometimes I just crave the simplicity of minimalist whites and neutrals.

I particularly love that the nude bag and booties in this outfit are both kind of a gray tone. Something a little outside the tannish brownish nudes that we see a lot! And booties are such a nice transition from winter boots but not quite a fully exposed foot in a sandal. Some places (like AZ where these lucky BeautyMark Girls live!) are ready to show off the toes, but look, it snowed and rained EVERY day around here this week. So if you’re in a climate like mine, booties are a good call right now.

Also I have to tell you that I own that forever 21 tassel top and it is just lovely. Flowy and pretty and perfect to pair with some skinny jeans.

I’ve been absolutely drooling over those pink ray-bans so I threw them in here just for fun and for the tiniest hint of color.

Those paige ankle skinnies are just the right length for a bootie, and their jeans just make everyone’s bum look good. They DO okay?!

Lastly, I adore alex & ani bracelets. My mom and little brother both gave one to me at Christmas last year and I wear them all the time. A few of my friends and I gave an initial bracelet to a dear friend of ours who lost her sister recently and she’s told me since that she wears it every day. Love the simple beauty of those initial bracelets.
