why is it that a pair of super cute but super comfortable heels is like finding a needle in a haystack? why haven't the shoe gods figured this out yet?!
yesterday i posted on instagram about a shoe that is so cute but SO uncomfortable and a bunch of women chimed in about how they totally sacrifice pain for beauty on the reg to get the look they're going for. well friends, i found a solution for all of us. and that solution is called sole society.
let me just start off with a bit of history behind the toe strap heel that you see on everyone this season. the pageant girls had this one all figured out before everybody else. in the swimsuit competition of pageants, pageant girls wear those dainty shoes with just a tiny strap over the toes because it makes your foot, your legs, everything look so good! the only problem is, wearing that type of shoe is about as comfortable as gargling glass in most cases.
so when i got this pair of sheila ankle strap heels and walked around in them for about 30 seconds i knew it was true love. i'm not even lying when i say they're SO COMFORTABLE! and so i put them to the test a few days ago and walked around in them for hours, in two different outfits. and i swear to you on my life that my feet did not hurt. i think it's a combination of the extra padding at the bottom with the slightly thicker strap across the toes and the softness of the materials that make these shoes like butter for my feet. i can't think of any other explanation but i'm telling you, they are too legit to quit.
today and tomorrow i'm going to show you two pieces from sole society that i styled for a day out running errands, and a night out on a date. lately i'm all about the clutch when i'm out by myself. i think it's because having an almost 2 year old has me chained to gigantic diaper bags most of the time so it's kind of fun to grab my wallet, keys, lipstick and phone and toss them into a little clutch and feel like i don't have a care in the world, ha!
here's my day look:
tomorrow i'm going to feature the same shoes and clutch from sole society in an outfit i wore on a date with my man. don't miss it!
