so many cute dresses ON SALE!!!

last night i was catching up on the phone with one of my very best friends of all time (whose birthday it is today!!!) who told me she needs a dress for an upcoming wedding of her sister-in-law next week! i found a few darling dresses on SALE … but we'll get to that in a minute. first a birthday shout out for my bestest girl friend brittany. this girl is someone i met as i stumbled out of my dorm at about 11:30 p.m. in a swimsuit and bath robe, in the freezing cold, crossing a snowy-icy patch, and fell flat on my butt. one of my guy friends at college had called me up to see if i wanted to go hot-tubbing with a group of people. i agreed (who turns down hot tubbing EVER as a freshman in college?) thinking it would just be a normal night out of fun. little did i know, i'd meet a friend for life whom i love like a sister. also, little did i know i would hate her guts at first, for laughing at me the minute i got into the car about falling on my butt. somehow that hatred turned to love and we were inseparable for the next few years of our college adventures. (as you can see, we like to shop!)

sometimes God throws you a lifeline and i think He knew that i was going to need her my first year out of college. we both ended up in the same exact city, working NEXT DOOR to each other by chance (how does that happen?!). she was my only “family” out in california during my one short year of my first marriage, and i don't know how i would have gotten through that time without her. she is the type of friend who ALWAYS knows how to have fun, but holds herself to very high standards, knows who she is, is a hard worker, honest, kind, funny, and will stand by you through thick and thin. this girl has hopped on a plane not once but TWICE to be a bridesmaid in both my weddings.

she is the best and most loyal friend i have ever had and i am forever grateful for her presence in my life. so HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRITT! i sure love you.
