when i had my baby i ended up having a c section (read all about that here) and one of the things i found HUGELY helpful after for my recovery was the belly bandit. i will sing its praises all day long! it's one of the top things in my best baby registry list ever and it's not just helpful for moms who had c-sections, it's helpful for anyone trying to recover from housing a human for 10 months 😉 they're pricey though – usually anywhere from $60-80. i am pretty sure i paid $80 for mine!
