ah you guys i stumbled upon the hottest canon rebel DSLR deal this morning! right now you can get the Canon EOS Rebel T3i EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit Refurbished for $335 (reg $479.99 refurbished, $599.99 retail).

this is the exact DSLR i have and been using since i started my blog and i LOVE IT! i love that the i version has a swivel-out screen for the one (ha) time i've shot a youtube video, it takes beautiful pictures, is pretty user-friendly. i'm super happy i bought mine when i did.

also, our favorite lens to shoot with is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens. it gives you that blurry background effect and we use it in almost every shoot. it really takes your pictures to the next level and is totally worth the investment if/when you're ready.
