probably no one other than my siblings and i have seen this 1993 version of the secret garden, but there's a part in it that we always laugh about. the little girl is choosing what to wear for the day and the house maid says “what do you want to wear, black, black, or black?”
sometimes i feel like my wardrobe can start to look like this! lots of black, white, gray, neutrals. nothing wrong with that! but there's something about when i step out of my comfort zone and go for bright colors that just makes me super happy.
this skirt instantly drew me in when i saw it, not only because it's just that – bright and happy – but it has POCKETS. that one little word gets me every time.
the nice thing about this skirt too is that there are SO many colors it's really versatile and easy to pair with a shirt or some fun shoes. you really could go so many directions … yellow, bright blue, soft blue, green, pink. obviously i chose pink! and mint. sometimes i'm so predictable.

Love the skirt! Skirts with pockets are wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
P.S. Definitely have seen that version of The Secret Garden! More than once!
I loved The Secret Garden! We still have that one and A Little Princess on VHS.
the little princess!! another classic that i love so much too!
Love that skirt!! Wish I could make it fit over my pregnant belly– maybe for spring though??
Haha, I love that Secret Garden! Still the best version. I actually learned the Chopin piece that plays in the movie bc it was so beautiful.
ha so glad it’s not just me! and yes the music on that whole movie is so beautiful.
Definitely will be watching for if/when that goes on sale!
Loving the pink pumps! Would you say they are tts?
hey nicole! i would say they run slightly small … i ordered my usual 8.5 but they’re a little snug, i kinda wish i would’ve gotten a 9 🙂
