The trick to 3 day beachy waves and perfectly applied bold lips

It’s been a few weeks since I shared a beauty post with latest favorite beauty products and tips, so today I’m sharing a couple recent fave discoveries, including the best lipstick/liner combo I’ve ever found to perfect a bold lip, and how to achieve movie star perfect beach waves!! Let’s get ready together.

First of all, you need to know that this new concealer I just started using is the best concealer I have EVER used. Period. End of story. I let my sis use it in NY a few weeks ago and she was like “WOW I have never used anything that works that well.” It’s waterproof, it’s creamy and easy to blend, and it lasts allllllll day long.

I”m also super duper into this blush trio! It’s super duper pigmented and I feel like all 3 shades are perfect with different looks. I love the berry color on the left for a really pretty wintery look, and that hot pink in the middle is a super pretty shade if you’re wearing pink tones, and that pink on the right is the most natural looking, like you just got a little sun that day on your cheeks! All of them stay longer than any other powder blush I’ve ever used. Ever.

This bronzer highlighter trio is another winning brand new combo I found and fell in love with. I’ve used the bronzer on the right and left side and they’re both perfectly shimmery and give you a sunkissed glow. That highlighter in the middle is super subtle but glowy and natural looking too. I’m really digging all three!

If you’ve never tried the Naked 2 eyeshadow palette you’re seriously missing out! This palette is a really good neutral with lots of brown tones that would flatter any coloring.

I’m still really loving the YSL All Hours foundation that came out last year. I can put it on at the beginning of the day and it literally looks JUST as good at the very end of the day, 13 hours later. It has a creamy application that is just literally perfection! When I’m less tan I wear B40 and when I’m a little more tan I wear B45. I’ve been cheating on my beauty blender and applying my YSL foundation with this kabuki brush and I feel like it goes on so evenly!

Let’s talk eyeliner. I’ve always been deathly afraid of liquid eyeliner, ever since my first mishap probably, I don’t know, in like the 7th grade?! Haha. But I recently gave this highly rated Artliner eyeliner a try and WOW is it amazing. SO easy to use, it’s almost like a sharpie or a felt tip marker or something, so it’s not all messy or crazy intimidating. I felt like it was actually really easy to apply!

In the winter I always feel like I need a little extra bronzer boost so I pulled out my long time tried and true chocolate bronzer! It has the slightest chocolate scent (not enough to gross you out, just enough to smell a tiny bit yummy!) and it really does mimic a golden glow that you’d get from a weekend in the sun.

Now for my tips on perfect movie star beach waves! Ready for this?!

The trick to getting perfect, natural-looking beachy waves is using TWO sizes of curling irons! A tiny one like this .75″ beachwaver (that I LOVE with all my heart) and its sister size, the 1″ beachwaver curling iron!

There’s something about using the two sizes that creates a really natural but super fun look, and honestly if you have both plugged in side=by-side, it doens’t take more than maybe an extra couple minutes! It seems like a tip that would double your prep time but it’s honestly about the same.

My photographer Arielle said it looked like it wasn’t making much of a difference when I was rotating every section of hair back and forth between the two sizes, until I ran my fingers through the curls and made waves. It really does make a GIGANTIC difference!!

To protect my hair, I spayed on this heat protectant, and then after I let my curls completely cool and I had fingered through the curls, I used this TOP RATED hairspray to set the curls.

The best part about these curls is that they stay for DAYS. Using two small-ish barrels makes the curls really stay for a super long time, and I almost feel like the waves get better and better with each day.

Last tip of the day: I have to share with you guys this lip crayon that doubles as a liner AND lisptick!! It goes on SO creamy and the fact that it comes in a pencil type applicator makes it super easy to line your lips first, then fill them in. I feel like bold lips can be super intimidating but this type of application makes it really easy to perfect a bold lip! I also feel like this crayon lasts for HOURS but it’s so creamy that it doesn’t dry out your lips at all!
