Hey friends, happy Friday!! I seem to answer a lot of the same questions over and over on instagram direct message and in emails (as many of them as I can respond to!) so I thought it would be fun (and hopefully useful!) to do an FAQ post.
Also, I do what I can to answer instagram DMs and emails but it is super hard to get to all of them AND have time to interact with my own family. If I answered each message and email I received, I would stare at my phone instead of my family's faces literally from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep. So if you ever don't get a response from me, know it's because I'm human and there are only so many hours in the day, and I have to reserve some of that time for the humans I love that live with me 🙂
Hopefully this post will help with some of these questions I keep getting and if you guys love it, maybe we'll turn this into a regular thing.
Where did you get your family room rug // what color are your wood floors?
Seriously the #1 most asked question on instagram direct in the last month!! I bought this rug for our family room that you so often see Winnie running around with one of my shoes on in my insta stories (little shoe thief!) and our wood floors are Mullican engineered wood in white oak seashell. I wanted a really beachy feel for our home and my super talented friend Jen picked these out for us and I couldn't love them more.
Do you like your apple watch? What size do you have?
I LOVE my apple watch!! It took me a little while to get used to it, but I love that if my phone is buried in my bag I can see whether a text or phone call is urgent, or if my family is just group texting about food or the Utes 😉 I have the 38mm rose gold apple watch.
Where did you get Winnie? Does she shed?
We got Winnie from @puppy_match on instagram! They were awesome to work with and I totally recommend them. She doesn't shed at all! I literally have not found a single dog hair in our house from her. I cannot say the same for myself haha.
Have you tried Lipsense (younique/nerium/rodan & fields) and can I send you some?
So when my husband and I made the decision a couple years ago to start a doTERRA business, I committed to him (and our upline leaders) that I would stick to doTERRA and not promote any other direct sales companies to avoid a conflict of interest. Thanks for understanding, and, you go girl!
What lip color are you wearing? (yesterday)
Yesterday I had on this lip stain in 17 encre rose, and this lip pencil in intense hibiscus. I'm such a sucker for a pretty pink and this has become my favorite lately.
What do you use to whiten your teeth?
So this is a bit of a long story, but when I was a kid I chipped half of my adult front tooth on my grandma's swimming pool! I had to have it filled in and for years it bugged me that my tooth was slightly a different color than the rest of my teeth. So about a year and a half ago I went to my favorite dentist in Utah, Dr. Morgan, and she re-filled the half fake tooth I had and matched the shade of my other front teeth with composite veneers. It's similar to porcelain veneers but way less expensive, way less invasive, and you don't have to drill down your entire tooth! If anyone is looking for a good dentist in Utah I HIGHLY recommend their practice!! They also do complimentary teeth whitening on all their regular patients.
Where are those pajamas from?
very favorite pair of pajamasA couple days ago on insta stories my girls were climbing all over me and I had on my in a pink stripe from last summer! They're still available in lots of cute colors though and I wear mine almost every night. If you're a tall girl like me and you have a hard time finding pajamas long enough for you, these are long enough for my (apparently 5'10”) frame! Funny story – Neil and I had a mini physical done here in our home when we applied for some life insurance, and the girl measured me at 5'10” and I was like, “no way, I'm 5'9. I'm sure of it.” So she measured me a second time, on a different wall, with Neil watching and yup, sure enough, 5'10”. Who knew at 32 you could still grow! Haha.
Do you wear hair extensions?
I haven't for quite a while, well since I colored my hair. But I used to wear Laced Hair Extensions clip-ins occasionally when I wanted more volume and I loooove her extensions!!
