My very first job out of college was at a private equity firm. And if you know anything about the finance world, that almost always means business casual, all day, every day. I remember thinking, “how the heck am I going to wear the same boring thing over and over?” I also didn’t have a million dollars right out of college (ha, go figure) to buy an extravagant wardrobe. So what did I do? I bought staples like black pants, white blouses, pencil skirts, and I lived for shoes!
Shoes gave me life. Shoes were the spice that shook everything up.
Before mint arrow was even a thing, I totally did what I do now and I looked for the deals everywhere. And one of the places I found the deals was DSW. Have you ever shopped DSW? There you will find the most incredible selection of high and low end shoes for unbelievable prices! I’m talking everything from discounted designer all the way down to their own line of shoes that start at $19.95 for a cute pair of flats!
There’s something for everyone though, even if you’re not a high heel kinda girl. I think these $40 gladiator sandals are adorable, and I’m super into these reptile flats in cognac (a great staple color) or the mint if you’re feeling like mixing it up! Super cute with outfits that are navy and white, or blushes and tans.
The thing I worry about most when buying really affordable shoes like these pink heels is: are they comfortable??? And the answer is YES. And that’s not always the answer I give on this blog if you’re an avid reader so you know I’m telling the truth!!
