First day of NYFW! affordably faux fur

I made it through my first day of New York Fashion Week on a tiny amount of sleep but a huge amount of adrenaline and excitement!

I did a little periscope a couple nights ago as I was packing and told my followers there that I go to fashion week because for me it's kind of like a trade show for my industry. I get to make in-person connections with the brands I work most with, and it's really a treat to see the new trends that are going to come out in the Fall.

My day started with the Nicholas K runway show, with lots of earthy tones and purples that made me swoon.

Next I caught the BCBG runway show where these cozy Fall sweaters were my fave!

I also touched on this in my periscope, but Fashion Week is a little tricky because I have to dress a little more high-end than I normally do because I'm going to runway shows and fashion events! So while I do really make an effort to stay in a more relatable price-point on my blog, NYFW is kind of my exception.

That said, I did try to mix in some affordable pieces and I looooooooove this faux fur coat! It kept me extra cozy and warm yesterday in the absolute frigid New York cold.
