kendra scott event recap

a few weeks ago i got to host such a fun event at the beautiful fashion island kendra scott store in newport beach! kendra scott's team reached out to me back in january asking me to host a fun day of shopping and sweets and of course i jumped at the chance – kendra scott is one of my favorite brands!

i really love how classic kendra scott's jewelry is! everything she makes is nice enough to wear with a fancy outfit, but perfect for dressing up even a casual look. their jewelry is really well made, the type that i can wear over and over and travel with and throw in a bag and it still looks brand new and stays perfectly in tact after all that use. i think in the past couple years i've grown out of buying cheapy jewelry and have really gained an appreciation for investing in nicer pieces. the great thing about kendra scott is that her jewelry is still reasonable enough for a regular girl to buy (not the type that only a celeb could afford) and they always have an amazing sale selection too!

their newport beach store was made to look like the inside of a jewelry box and it definitely does! i wanted to take the lighted drawers and soft circular seat home with me. not sure really where i would fit it in my home (ha!) but i'm sure i'd figure something out. anyway, their store is so gorgeous you absolutely have to see it in person sometime.

we had these delicious cupcakes from casey's cupcakes (winner of cupcake wars and SO yummy if you're ever close by enough to taste one!!) and we gave away some beautiful jewelry in a raffle to a couple of lucky shoppers who stopped by.

one of the most fun parts of the day was shopping with other customers and blog readers who came in for the discount. i kept finding myself falling in love with new pieces, like this naomi double ring in iridescent drusy. i have a darker platinum drusy version of this from their fall collection but i am really loving the light drusy!! also, please ignore my horribly grown out manicure – i was definitely overdue!!!

and how cute is this kendra scott key charm? it's so simple and dainty and only $15! totally the type of piece i could see myself wearing every day, layered with other looks.

and i can't even tell you how many times i picked up these kaki baguette earrings in blue lace agate. they are seriously even MORE beautiful in person if you can imagine. i'm seriously crushing on the turquoise pair, and i think the ivory pearl are the most perfect wedding earrings ever.

it really was such a fun afternoon! thanks to everyone who stopped in and especially a big thanks to kendra scott‘s team for inviting me out to host the event. let's do it again sometime!

  1. If you don’t mind sharing, I was wondering what size dress that is? The nordstrom near me is out of stock so I couldn’t try it on! Thanks!

    1. hi candance, i tried on both the medium and large and they were pretty similar, the medium fit me a little better except the empire waist band was a bit tight and i wanted to be able to wear it through the end of my pregnancy so i went with the large. but if i wasn’t pregnant i for sure would’ve gotten the medium! it’s a really flowy dress though so both the medium and large looked about the same on. hope that helps! 🙂
